Anyone else besides tonyccw have a Tachyon?

My online cc statement says Wild distribution charged my account over two weeks ago, on october 29th, so i assume i'll have the knife any day?!?!:eek: :eek: :eek:
 
****, man! Mom had it sent back (or declined or whatever), after I insited it wasn't you guys since you're WOW distribution! damn!

ok- try it again ASAP- I'll tell her about it in the morning so that it doesn't happen again.

(and there I was thinking that someone had got their hands on her credit card and was ordering porn)

When can we expect the Kydex sheaths?

Exact same thing here ... online statement shows a transaction date of October 29th, "Description" of "WILD DISTRIBUTION".
 
Damn they really say Wild? CRAP!

OK News on the sheath.

Each Tachyon will come with a nylon pouch. It is the same pouch that comes with the UltraTech. This really SUCKS! I am looking for another nylon puch in my warehouse and suppliers.

The Kydex rig may turn out to be concealex. Either way it will ship at no additional charge to those who ordered it and yes it will be a multi position carry sheath.

Even though this is the closest Microtech has EVER come to a actual ship date I want to thank each of you for your patience during this time.

These things kick ass and no matter if my name is on it or not, this is the best damn butterfly knife ever to hit the streets, PERIOD :)
 
If it's a Microtech, you know that three things will be true:

1) it will be late... very late.

2) it will be exotic, like nothing else before it.

3) it will be exceptional in its quality and construction.

I check the mail for a Tachyon every day (well, except for Sundays.)

Does this mean that we will not neccesarily be recieving a rig just because we ordered the knife? Or by "it" do you mean the knife?

Also, this may have come up but how are these being marked, numbered, etc.? If, because i placed my order fairly early, i'm goin to get an early edition, i may keep it mint and then order another to play with, so i'm just trying to figure out how this first batch will compare markings wise to later batches. thanks again for all your hard work Mike!
 
If you ordered early, you will get a low number. Only one person on this planet gets a lower number than Chuck and it aint me :)

Chucks gets number 2!
 
Mike, what about the sheath issue? Is the "it" you refer to the knife, or a seperate sheath?

Well i'll be curious to see how many ppl beat me to ordering it! I was at the blade show but stayed only till early-afternoon saturday, so it looks like i missed out:(
 
Chuck: You forgot to say, "some of the sharpest production knives there are" (eh Cam?:) ) MT's rock guys, these knives should be good.

I'll say it again. The Tachyon is one of the most solid, well put together bali's I've seen. It's well made; well engineered; well worth the asking price; and extremely flippable. I'm still waiting on my production piece to really put it through it's paces, but I suspect that it will hold up to the hard use quite well.
 
i e-mailed you yesterday about my tachyon...i ordered it at blade,but dont remember wether i paid or not (insert sheepish grin here).i was wondering if you could get back to me on that.if not by e-mail,then ill call tomorrow.

Good news. The standard Microtech sheath fits just fine so you will have a good sheath with both verticle and horizontal carry methods on ALL orders. This and a laser problem was part of the delay.

I can't answer specific questions on orders on this forum as it is not the intended use of the forums. So in that light please email all order questions and I will try and get an answer for you. Include your full "real" name :)

Right now I am trying to get orders out so bear with me if I don't respond right away.

You will actually be getting serial #102 which is the second one from production. The first 100 numbers are reserved for a special run. I have serial #101 which will be in all the pics.

Also there was a problem with the laser and your serial number just came in today even though it was made first. So I am sending yours out 2nd day air so you will have it Friday.

Don't know why it would be. It was shipped with my prototype, and I've carried it just fine for the past 2 weeks. Didn't think to mention it as I thought you had it all worked out.
 
Tony, you should have received a standard nylon pouch with no MT logo on it with your prototype. Is that what you got?
