I wouldn't call you nuts, Dennis, (especially compared to stjames or Rgray ;) ) but I don't buy duplicates. We are talking knives, not guns right....

:D

I do not buy duplicates right now, however I plan to buy a couple of back ups for my user's.
stjames...that is an excellent collection!!
Cheers,
Gord.

I can't afford to buy duplicates, but I would get a couple of extras of my favorites if I could.
Only knife I've bought two of so far was Benchmade's blue 940. Sold both, though.
Thinking about buying another Basic 5 before they get hard to find.

Do throwing knives count? I seem to keep losing those. Are they considered duplicate if they are littered all over the countryside? :)

I have several SAK duplicates: A Victorinox Soldier, Vic Pioneer, and two Wenger Standard Issue knives.
They are all essentially the same. I put them in my car, the wife's car, my work locker, and my tackle-box.

Good Luck,
Allen.

And God bless New York!

I know exactly how you feel shootist16 - I buy several copies of my knives, with one or two to use and one to have in pristine condition. This way, I know I can both use and save the knife.

Dennis, you're not nuts! You're right on target. Buy as much of everything that you like in knives and guns. Just be sure to buy high quality and when you retire you can open up your own store and you can charge what you want and get it because what you have will no longer be availiable for purchase since most of them will be out of production. :D J W Kilpatrick

Dennis,

I just found your thread, and I thought I was crazy. I have a spare NIB Wegner plain edge, and NIB Spyderco Police G-10 backing my two users. I love these knives, and don't ever want to be without a spare.
