Anyone Else Disappointed with CS Catalog?

Could be a sign of CS reinventing it's trashed product image by going up-market with the introduction of insanely expensive products. And in doing away with discounts or factory-seconds (which not only fouls-up product marketing) as such business practice sents out all the wrong signals of how a really "serious player" should project itself. CS has been sending conflicting signals to the consumer through the selling of "flawed products" at a song; whilst at the same time, trying to maintain a high price bracket (manufacturers suggested retail pricing) of the same product within the same marketing channels as in a catalog or website. The need to sell high volume in order to survive the surge of low-end imports or outsourced cheaper alternatives, has hit every player big or small. The way to compete, is to go high-end and exclusive. Even a manufacturer can seldom attain (let alone maintain) a constant sales volumes on all of its products. A marketing concern or importer cannot affort to scale down on its product range as it needs to sell volumes fast. It has to keep on expanding its product range in order to further project its own growth. There can be no turning back once the die is set. The future is in marketing "exclusivity" and selling very "expensive".

I think that the Cold Steel's catalog is actually better than their current products.
What really concerns me about the video is not that they smash up a SRK, but that he smashes his nice axe into the concrete manhole (or sewage tank) cover 
If you think US and canada are too PC. Look at sweden then. Some years ago a principal banned the national anthem at a school graduation because he thought that some of the "new swedes" could feel intimidated by it. For years and years graduation, Lucia and Christmas celebrations have taken place in churches but some PC-politician have banned that too because they think that some "new swedes" with different religious beliefs should be offended.
It is not, repeat not, the "new swedes" who complain, it is the politicians who bends over backwards to be most PC of all.
There are examples of Swedish companies that had to change their dress code or hygiene rules to allow for "religious clothing" by threat of court. Like Iran would allow girls in short skirts, just because it is "tradition" in Sweden in summer. That is one thing I dislike about this country, they are too PC. Some day we have erased all our traditions for the PC god.

Dude, that's the Strider CR axe with a blade made of S7. That stuff is used in jackhammer bits, it eats concrete like it's cardboard. It's a destruction tool and not an ordinary chopping blade. The blade it isn't even sharp.
Are they downgrading some of their steels used? What the hell is VG1?

Actually I did recently buy a CS product that I really like.
It's the best thing they've offered in years. I think CS is finally finding their niche.
This baby is lethal! I keep it by my bed. After the Surefire fries their rods and cones I'm sure the 'guest' will really appreciate the quality CS put into this one!
Like all CS products the edge came from the factory very dull.
