Anyone else excited about the Nilakka?

Speed of deployment is of no importance to me. I'm old enough to have learned to plan ahead. It appears in the video that the clip is held on with screws, which implies I can take it off and throw it away. Problem solved. I'll be waiting for it to come out.

Agreed. Deployment speed doesn't matter much here either. I really like this model too.

really like the square handle knives.

this one is good looking, but i cant get over that large cutout in the handle for the hole in the blade.

just ruins the overall look, but thats just me.

I actually like that looping cutout alot, makes this model different from the usual semi / arc cutout on most knives. The pyramid like bead blasted handles, rectangular shape of the knife when closed, and what sounds like the same high quality bushing system found on other taichung models like gayle bradley and navaja makes this a big winner already in my book. This should be a quality knife with beautiful fit and finish.

I love the look of it as I have always liked puukko knives. Also it reminds me of the Rock Lobster which is one of my favorites.
