Anyone else fascinated with Mcusta knives?

I have a Basic/type B Damascus blade with burl wood handle. It's in one of my EDC rotation. Really sharp, smooth actions and feel just right in my medium size hand. The only complain I have is the blade is a bit off center but no rubbing the liners.

After reading this, I checked the three I own (Take, Bamboo and a Tsushi) for blade centering - I never noticed that the Take is slightly off centre (nowhere near dragging on the scale). The other two are as perfect as my naked eye can determine.

The Bamboo is one of the nicest looking knives I own - seldom gets used but it really is an attractive knife - crowned spine, smooth action, interesting pocket clip, stunning bolsters and I like VG10. Nice gents knife even if it is a tad heavy.

I have the Take in staminawood, and it is perfect. The small Nami is pretty, but no way can it be opened with one hand. It is a two-hand opener with a decorative thumb stud.

I have owned four of them and still own a Tactility. Let's be clear, they are light use gentleman's carry knives and nothing more. As stated above they have thin liner locks that have a tendency to develop blade play if you work them too hard. I had a Yoroi that developed this, but it didn't bother me since I was only going to carry it to the office or on special occasions and not do any heavy cutting chores. Another thing I have noticed is they must develop their knives for Japanese men's hands because the Take I owned I could not open with my big old paws. Accessing the thumb stud was very difficult.

Tactility

I started looking at them recently, and something about the basic quincewood and Damascus just speaks to me for some reason. Even the green micarta looks interesting. I would love to handle one...may have to see if the local knife shop carries them.

I own a purple Katana, and it makes a great safe queen. It's gorgeous (and perfectly centered and evenly ground), but the action is very stiff. I would be far too worried about marring the handle finish or damaging the gorgeous san-mai blade to use it or carry it. Not to mention that the pocket clip takes "pants-ripping tight" to a whole new level.

I think I've switched my focus to the Damascus/Quincewood Tactility. What a sharp looking knife (no pun intended). Wish I could find a retailer that actually has some..

I had a Cocobolo handle/Damascus blade Tactility. One of the blades I really regret selling. Fit and finish was great and the knife was just gorgeous. I'll never be able to adequately explain why I sold it.

Seems like some of these are hard for dealers to get in stock and rarely see them on the exchange.

Does anyone else wish they made a Tactility with a 3 to 3.5 inch blade? I've never seen a Tactility in person so I don't know if I feel like the 3.75" blade is too much for this knife. I plan on this knife strictly being light use gentleman folder, but at least the longer blade looks cool. :)

I love their knives and always find myself looking at them and almost biting the bullet, but.... I have been burned before, as I'm sure many if you have to. I will eventually get around to buying at least one, mostly because I think they are quite beautiful...

The first Ieyasu I see for sale will be mine. I'm watching Blade HQ like a hawk for a Katana too. Last time around I got the email and they were sold out within 2 hours. I have never seen either knife on the secondary market.

I think there was a Katana on the exchange last week.

I have owned several, and they are very nice for the money. They're not super functional because many of the handles are a bit slick in the hand, but I love them anyway because they are so attractive:

They are magnificent knife.

@uodaengr I believe they make a smaller bladed tactility now, for states with shorter blade requirements. The dimensions weren't listed on their website, but I believe it was in japaneseknifedirect.com

Says the smaller version is 3 3/8" which I think is perfect for this knife. Unfortunately I didn't see any smaller versions in the Damascus Tactility which is what I'd prefer. It also says the smaller quince wood Tactility, the handle I like, has been discontinued. Sucks because it's hard to get much information from this company, and it seems like the dealers don't get much besides what little info they can get out of their distributor.

I have three, and they're all pretty great. I have the small mirror finish handle Tsuchi model (a frame lock), a quincewood Tactility with the damascus blade, and I don't remember the model name of the third. They all lock up well, and only the Tactility is off-center (not enough to rub, or for me to care). The Tactility is a sexy beast, smooth as heck, too, and I'd carry it more if I wasn't addicted to Southards:

The tiny little Tsuchi took forever to break in, but I really like it now for dressy light carry purposes:

How do you like the 3.75" blade in the Tactility? Too long for this knife or just right?

I love it, the blade is almost the same length as the handle. Closed, it's smaller than a Spyderco Domino . . . not just smaller, it's literally shorter than a Domino when closed.
