anyone else have a qc problem with the alox farmer?

Red instead of silver.

Just saw those on the Amazon site. What does the "Special edition" denote?

The red alox had been discontinued. Since then, Victorinox did a run for QVC, and now for Amazon. It is a regular ol' Farmer--only it's red.

Thanks, Guys. What threw me off was that there's a silver one just below it marked silver alox special edition. Looks like a pretty good buy.

If the silver one is listed as "special edition" too-- well, that throws me off also. Maybe I'm wrong about why the red Farmer is listed as such.

anything other than silver alox is special and not common.
