My orange and black buster came today and went back today. My coating had a bunch of bumps that looked like paint bubbles or imperfections that were covered over. I have several black coated bussekins and they are all smooth as silk. I don't plan on using this one and if I decided to sell it later, anyone buying it would have had a problem with that finish. While I'm somewhat peeved that it made it out their door after being inspected like this, I am glad to know they have a great customer service ethic and that it will be taken care of. Amy told me to send it right back. I have several Busse's and wouldn't hesitate to order more. In fact, I know I will. Anyone else have any coating problems? The urban camo one posted looks smooth and perfect.

No worries my friend. . . If a bad one, somehow, slipped by us, we will more than make up for the problem. . . And there's nothing wrong with posting about it here either. . . It's all good. . . . :D

Looks like I'm gonna have to initiate my "One Slipped Through The Cracks Protocol". . . .

That means that I will cut off the beer supply to the inspectors in shipping. . . Then, to drive my point home, I'll drink all of it right in front of them!!!!!!

If that doesn't fix the problem, I don't know what will. . . . :D

Let's Drink!!!!

Yea, I love Busse, they have such great support. And I'm sure everyone there at Busse is just like us and we aren't perfect, well, at least I know I'm not. But a pict would have been nice. Weird things have come in some of my boxes from Busse though, like free stuff :) You should have kept it, then you could say you have a special one that nobody else seems to have. I had a one of a kind FBM LE with a super polished mirror blade that came factory from Busse one time, I wished I had not parted with that....

Feel the love!!!!!

Kudo's to Busse (esp. Jerry & Amy) for being on top of this.

Kudo's to CWB for bringing this to our attention to be sure this wasn't a common problem. (Still would like to see pix. Just to see them. I've had funky shapes within my coatings - esp. muddy - but never bumps)

Kudo's to the overzealous Busse fans who pounced on this thread.

Apologies to CWB - oftentimes people who raise an issue here are poo-stirrers. The gang here is a bit defensive. We appreciate your honest questions and would love to see pix of this - if that's OK with daBoss.

I read all the time, post very little and buy when I can. Talked to Jerry one time on the phone and you would have thought he'd known me 30 years. You will not get taken by this man.

jerry,
we need another who knows which beer is a coors light contest, right away and i still got my mind on an arctic white, red g10, swedge, choil and maybe serrations tank busta, cant get lose from it. gotta get my mind right and wallet straight before you take them off for that skinny knife everybody is having a fit about.

you all are comin east soon...cant wait!!!

Mate I know about spray painting. It is quite possible a tiny bit of thinner or a spec of dust on the blade when the coating went on. It wouldn't have bubbled up when it left the shop, but did in transit to you. You can guarantee the solvents were still evaporating from the paint when it was in the post and this is when it would have happened.

Thew Busse mob are good people and they WILL fix it for you. Have faith mate, it's all good. You have bought one of the best knives in the world. :)

Beer anyone???

Jerry, you can be one mean @#$%^&*

We all know that you will make any issue right.

HEY, how about Jerry for President? You would whip this terrorist thing and the economy thing, and just about all those things in line in a month. Two at most! Of course Garth AND Amy as co Vice Presidents. The operative word there is VICE!!!!!!!;)
