Anyone else here a Ruana fan?

Recently I have taken I liking for this sort of style. Thanks Scott for informing me. I'll have to save up cash for quite I while to afford one but I have every intention of using my money's worth.

As a side note: I hope the arrangements for your new house are going smoothly!

Mike

Thanks Mike,
I wish they were too. We made a few big changes- location on the site for one, which required redoing the whole floor plan-AGAIN! Building on the water is so much fun. :grumpy:
No wonder I've gone 1/2 grey in one year.
Scott

Yes buy lots of Ruanas! Bonner MT is a small lumber mill town whose lumber mill has closed down thanks to tree huggers. They need the work.

If I remember correctly, the small ones are 1095 and the Bowies are 5160.
I'll look for my book to be sure.

Yes, 1095 on the mid to smaller size stuff, The larger 5160. They also use 440c or Ats-34, I'm not sure, on the Steelhead model.

In the old days Rudy would only use Studebaker leaf springs. I have an 11A that I have had for 20+ years, great little knife with all the advantages of simple carbon steel.
