What i mean is are those little anodized gadgets used to turn screws , open bottles etc...or for that matter any little gadget you can put on a key chain. If you have anything cool a pic would be great.

I've got a small garrity LED keychain(flat, 2 batts, 1 LED), and waiting on a Bison capsule.

I just split my keychain into two separate, smaller keychains. I had to do this because it was so bulky it hit my knees while driving. Yes, I know how ridiculous this is, but it's the gospel truth. Now the keys reside on their own ring, with a paracord fob by T. Erdelyi, and my tools are on another. I carry a Spyderco Jester, Streamlight Keymate, Victorinox Midnight MiniChamp II and SOG Crossgrip. Everything is on its own quick-release latch, so I can separate any tool instantly. The CrossGrip is carried in a Kydex micro-rig by Normark of On/Scene Tactical.

What's interesting (and sometimes awkward) about this setup is that it means I'm carrying at least three knives (albeit small ones) on my person at all times. Add to this at least one and perhaps two larger folders, depending on my mood... It's great when a friend says, "So, how many knives are you carrying today?" and I get to look up, scrunch my forehead, and say, "Let's see, two, three, four... five. Today, five." Sheeple? Oh, I know plenty of sheeple...

And somehow some of them still like me.... :p

I love keychain gadgetry ! However I carry way too many keys as it is to want to add more to my heavy key ring. I carry it all on a big steel carabiner.

"So, how many knives are you carrying today?"

I used to work at a payroll company and one of the older guys asked to borrow my knife , one of the other guys said "when you ask Todd to borrow his knife , you should ask which one you want to borrow" and that made me laugh. :D Cool guy that said that , good person that passed away too quickly... :(

Yeah, I started adding to my keychain, then ended up having to split it up because it had too much stuff on it, then I had two with a lot of stuff on it. Now I'm down to keys, bottle opener, minisharpie pen and microphoton light. I did have a prybaby on it, but the security guard at court won't let me in with it anymore, so I took it off to avoid the hassle.

I've had a leatherman squirt, prybaby, stinger, microlight, pen, keys all on a caribiner and that was way too much stuff to haul around!

Right now on my keychain I have a Gerber Sonic light, Gerber Deluxe Utility Clippers, a Swiss-Tech Utilikey, Swiss-Tech Micro-Plus pliers, and a Leatherman Micra. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I have a house key, and a P.O. Box key on it since I walk to work. Don't ask about my vehicle keys... ;)

I'm going to Office Max tonight!:D

Can't beat 'em for 99 cents each! I'd like something that wrote a little "finer" but they work okay for jotting down a number, etc.

Yeah I know you are tired of seeing it ... :p

Half a micra, half the weight. I put a 80lbs fishing swivel on it so it can turn freely in use on the chain.

How about this puppy? It's a Peter Atwood Ti PryBaby! Anodized!

I have a Leatherman Squirt S4 and P4 that I switch off, and they get carried in an awesome On Scene Tactical key rig. I also carry a Peak 3LED AAA light in an OnSceneTactical key rig. Those rigs make it so much easier and nicer to carry them.

I agree wholeheartedly. I tried carrying my CrossGrip using the keychain that came with it, but it just stunk... separating it from the keys, which is the only way to *really* use it, was a pain in the butt.

Then I talked to this guy and my problems were solved. His Kydex work for bigger toys is just as awesome. I just sent two blades up North for some new pants.

(Mods, if this kind of shameless, wholehearted recommendation is a faux pas, email me and I'll edit this post.)

Thanks Shann! I picked up a 4 pack of Black, Red, Green and Blue; then an extra Black and a Purple for my wife. They're PERFECT for pocket carry!

As I was looking at them, I held up the pack and my daughter said that she's seen them at Walmart, so they could probably be had cheaper then I got them tonight at Office Depot. (I'd let my daughter drive, 3 or 4th time she's driven on "real" roads, and it was only a 1/2 mile there. I wasn't going to risk the 5-6 mile ride to Wally's with her behind the wheel!:D )

A bit OT. I would suggest keeping your vehicle ignition key on another ring that you can remove from the main set. The extra weight of the big key ring may cause problems with the ignition lock cylinder in the future.

3 rings on a small beiner: 2 sets of car key & alarm remote, 1 set of keys

currently have the keychain light on the key one, will be putting it with the vnox and capsule when they get here and having 4 rings.

killed 2 ignitions in my last car with full keychains.

Nice setup. Uncomplicated. Sweet. :)

Wish I could say the same about mine, which is complex and heavy. :(

Whenever I get around to joining a free image storage site and taking some pictures of my keychains -- yes I have more than one -- I'll post them. Then you'll be incredulous...after you get up off the floor and stop laughing.

Exactly what happened to me.

It also caused problems with the automatic door locks, believe it or not. If the sensor doesn't think the keys have been removed from the ignition, the driver's door will NOT unlock. Had to use pliers on the knob to pull it up to unlock the door. When I had the ignition lock cylinder redrilled and a new one installed, it solved all those problems. I also forced myself to lighten up on what I hung from my car's ignition.

Instead of two HEAVY keychains, I now have one light keyring for my car keys, and one HEAVY keyring for my house, mailbox, and office keys, as well as assorted toys: Fox 40 whistle, keyring firesteel, Victorinox Classic, Photon Freedom Micro Covert (white), Swiss-Tech MicroPlus, and paracord keyfob.

I keep my car key on a separate keyring too. I've got a Mini Cooper with one of those integrated alarm/key things and I was worried that my damascus key fob would break it. There's also the issue of having to switch keys monthly since my key records mileage for service and relies on ignition time to recharge so all the buttons work. Now the damascus and assorted keys sit on one ring and my car key on another. Funny, but I keep my key fob on one of those twisty cable rings so I can take it off and fiddle with it when I'm bored. Am I the only one with fidgety fingers?
