I prefer knives with G-10 scales. My Benchmade Pinnacle, while a great knife can feel cold in early spring or late fall outings. My Ontario RAT-3 with linen micarta scales get kind of slimy in hot weather. The zytel knives I have (an old Benchmade Panther and CRKT Lightfooot) feel pretty good in the grand scheme of things, but some zytel handles can make for a lightweight and flimsy feeling knife. I just got a Browning Ice Storm (made by Mcusta) with an aluminum handle and I think it'll have similar problems as my Pinnacle with the temperature. My Benchmades with G-10 just seem to be like the Little Bear's stuff: just right. Grippy, not affected by heat or cold and solid stuff.
