anyone else NOT like the ZT 0301?

The Buck Strider knives were fine. I like the 881 myself but its a small folder compared to what you have.

Seriously the Tyrade is a great folder. To me its the frame lock thinner version of the 0200 liner lock in the ZT line. If you look at both you can see a lot of similarity between the two.

Yes, you do.

They're discontinued (the tyrades)? So are the buck striders? Cause the buck striders are still on their website and everywhere on ebay. Must be newly discontinued?

The Tyrade is an exceptional knife and is quickly becoming one of my favorite edc's. Anyone wanting one better get on it as they are a limited production item. Thats why I have a second one coming at the end of the month! A STR low rider pocket clip is an excellent investment for the Tyrade and is the reason why the Tyrade became an edc for me.

Can't go wrong with one of the Tyrades. I'll probably regret having just one unless I can manage to snag another. I usually don't mind modifying my own knives. I must admit I cringed a bit drilling into this one for the new clip because I know its going to be quite desireable and valued in the near and distant future but it was the only way I could carry it and any knife this good has to be used. I have grown so used to tip up carry I can't hardly stand tip down anymore so it was unavoidable. I love this folder so much now with a clip the way I can feel comfortable with that its really surprised me because its a lot bigger than knives I usually carry.

Thomas said they would produce 2000 Tyrades. They haven't even
put out 1000 yet by adding up how many he said have gone out the door.

STR, when I get the second Tyrade in I might want to send my original Tyrade to you for a tip up clip. That is also my preferred method of carry and from the photo's it appears that you only have a small bit of handle that would stick out of your pocket. I could live with that.

No problem Cutter.

Whenever. I am easy to find.

Dan K. if you want thinner the JYDII Ti frame lock in SG2 comes pretty thin straight from Kershaw. Mine and one other I had here recently for a clip was .013/.015 uniformly behind the edge bevel pretty far up on the grind. Its a great slicer and makes the Tyrade, the 200,301 and 302 look obtuse by comparison. At 5 ounces and basically the same size as the Tyrade its a bit easier on the pocket too.
