Anyone else ordering the ZT 0452 full ti? (Video)

I prefer the weight of my M390 CF, but if ZT drops versions with some anodizing and steel variations I'll grab one.

I believe they are releasing a blue anodized version of the full ti 0452. You can see it on post #16 of this thread. It is sort of baby blue in the pic.

Came across a limited run variant of the ZT 0452 with full titanium scales. This is the LARGER one. I was never a fan of the smaller one, even with it being all ti. The standard version with one side CF was striking in appearance, and I LOVE that 4.1 inch classic drop point, but i tend to shy away from knives like this that dont at least have a liner...

Now this all ti version ia a different story! Anyone else have one or planning to order it? Found it on GPknives and BHQ. Interestingly, ZTs official site makes no mention of it.

That's funny, one of the things I like about the 0452cf is that is is built without a liner under the cf side. In my experience cf is plenty strong, especially if there is a metal washer for the bearings to roll on. I was quite dissapointed to find out the liner on the scale side was steel and not titanium on zts featuring liners.

Probably not - I handled the 0450 at a shop...it's small enough to be awkward (XL gloves, slim fingers, here). If you just love the style, go for it - you can make it work... but, otherwise, not worth the effort.

Just as a reference, how would the ergos compare to a BM940?

Ergos are somewhat compareable, but the issue is with the deployment. The 940 is easy because of the axis lock. That flipper/framelock combo on the 0450 is awkward because theres hardly any room for you hand while you deploy it, since you have to be mindful about unnecessary pressure on the lock bar. After a while, you would get used to it though.

Can’t believe these are still available at some retailers. Would have expected that they would have sold out by now. Is it the S35 that slowing down the sales? I ordered mine last night. Hope to have them early next week.
