Anyone else prefer wood scales?

I more so like wood on fixed as opposed to folders for some inexplicable reason 🤷
Micarta, G10 and FRN has been my go to lately on folders but I have also been on a Spyderco buying spree for last several purchases. It seems to also be less common on most modern folders as opposed to metal or synthetic scales.

also... fwiw, new opinel stuff like this is available... #8 in untreated cherry wood, left large to be hand carved, by you! - amazing idea imho,

only $19 at opinel-usa !! still waiting for mine, just found this recently lol

Probably the nicest wood on a folder I own. French Walnut on this Lonewolf Knives T2...circa 2007...

Love the spalted birch handles on my Roselli carpenter and erapuukko. OTO hand, for sheer utility, such as field dressing big game, I prefer Cold Steel's Kraton or Benchmade's Santoprene thermoplastic grips. They don't get slippery under cold/wet/greasy/bloody conditions.
