Anyone else thought about it ?

nope. last 55 I had I gave away. just dont need a knife that small. never really used it.

a 101lt would be what plastic scales? prefer the ebony and diamondwood type ones even for the premium.

Yes, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. I prefer the 55 and same length 503 for 5th pocket carry. Unfortunately, Buck has never made a lightweight, plastic handle version of either. I'd also like to see a premium steel offered on the Prince, custom shop or regular production.

I've been thinking about a 501 as a dress up carry. But it's hard to kick the 112 out of my pocket.

I don't know if there is any money in knives in that price range for Buck.
They have some small knives now.
283 Nano and 425 mini Buck.

I even like smaller knives and for me the 55 is honestly more than enough knife.

I don't know if a 101LT would sell that much considering the low cost of the Bucklite fixed blades, But I think an orange 101LT would be pretty cool.

They do and they sell well, but nothing slightly larger like the 55.
I've got both of those and really no longer carry either much, the 283 just feels a bit cramped in my hand and as far as the 425 I just came to prefer the alumni and the gent.

Here is all of my small knives. The green mini Bantam was in a gallon jug on the counter in the Buck sale. They go for 5 bucks each. They dont sell very well or for much margin. Thus 5 bucks and they had hundreds of them.20200219_202826.jpg 20200219_202834.jpg

I think the little lightweight ones sell more than we may realize, they just don't get much attention. They did come up with that little rival and the alumni a couple years ago, and will probably come out with another little one on the future.
It could just be the 283 itself that doesn't sell as well as other models.
Lots of people want a knife like this on their keychain, and that's why many manufacturers make such knives.

I've got my standard 55 that I love so I'm okay if I they never make a 55LT but would definitely scoop one right up if they do.

I'm in JBs corner. I have one but haven't seen it in years and don't go looking for it either. :)

Little plastic handle knives are like sporks.
You use them when nothing else is available.
And I would probably use the disposable knife they keep near the sporks so I wouldn't look ridiculous using my little plastic knife along with the spork.
