Anyone else?

edit: btw - PetersHT's current Delta3V ht came from Nathan+Dan(iirc).

Yes, I'm familiar. Actually, it was Nathan, Dan Keffeler... AND Guy Seifer(from Survive Knives). These guys put a considerable amount of time into the Delta process for 3v. These are 3 guys who encompass probably 99.9% of the worlds knowledge about 3v! MOST of what I know, is from their research and sharing online. These guys basically are the reason CPM3V became what it is today. Dan sharing what he knew, is actually WHY I use 3v for all of my outdoor/hunting/combat knives. So I trust their opinions.

But now you came in and say, "forget all of that! I have devised the perfect heat treat for ALL STEELS! And here is a bunch of math jargon to prove it!"

So I'm wondering.... Peters uses the Delta process, as defined by Nathan, Dan.... oh! And Guy!

Well, is Nathan now using your Crystal Entity, or whatever, ht?

But I'm done now. Need to go work on some knives. And Bluntcut, I really don't have anything against you. Like I said, I think you are a very skilled craftsman. Good luck!

Sometimes a lack of knowledge or an unwillingness to see beyond known conventional methodology and self imposed limitations can lead to confusion and spawn acrimony. Imagine if Crucible based their research and business practices on the conventional processes only? Goodbye to particle mettalurgy and the advantages it offers! Forget developing new alloys--who needs them!

Growth cannot occur in any field without first intellectually pushing the bounds of what is possible.

I won't pretend to be able to grasp what it is that Bluntcut does to render these results, but I will say that he seems to be making every effort to be as transparent with the process as he can be. He's put forth a lot of technical information, a lot of numbers, a lot of tests and invited anyone to try it for themselves. He's also made effort to answer any questions that were posed.

I find the constant jabs about la-la land, make believe, never-never land, etc. to be incredibly disrespectful and unwarranted.

If you want to continue using conventional HT techniques go right ahead. I would too because I'm too dumb to figure out what he's doing, but don't insult the man just because he's doing something different and getting better results than thought possible.
