Anyone ever actually shaved with a survival knife?

love the video. looks like a great knife, too. that guy definitely survives in style.

not really sure what constitutes as a "survival knife", IMO it's any knife you have on you at any given moment. in that case I've done touch ups with both a Case Swayback Jack, and an opinel #6. not full on shaving, I just got to work and noticed a few spots I missed. my sharpening skills are not high enough to do a full shave job...

Murray Carter has some good shaving videos with his fixed blades, machete, sword, scissors, and even a spoon that he forged and sharpened haha...

I've shaved with my ESEE Izula and my ESEE 3. It's not a great shave, not as comfortable as a good store-bought safety razor, but compared to a dollar-store disposable it's miles above.

My Kershaw Needs Work isn't really a "survival" knife by any means, but it shaves pretty well. Which kind of makes sense given its blade profile...

There's a video some someone shaving his face with a busse killa Zillah. It's pretty impressive.

while camping i use a buck 110, it is almost as smooth at my Genco straight razor....... almost

also when i get a new knife and after reprofileing it i shave my stubble, if its to my liking it will hack it straight off with minimal tug n pull
