Anyone ever been to a knife cutting competition????

I've watched a few videos on You Tube but never been to one. I wouldn't mind going its a group of knife nuts using and talking about blades sounds like a win win.
 
Saw one at the last gun and knife show in Dallas. Pretty cool and their competition knives are simply badass. Spyderco's guy was there.
 
Yes, I have, at a Blade show! It really quite something to see in person!!
 
I have watched a number of the competitions at Blade over the years. They have one every year there. That and the sword demonstration tends to create a pretty big crowd outside.
 
Gayle Bradley is a famous knife cutting champions whose Spyderco made knife is my EDC. I wonder what the competitors consider their greatest challenge is. I'm guessing wood chopping because you never know the characteristics of the wood in advance.
