Anyone ever have a 110 lock fail?

I meant to come back to post this picture last night but got sidetracked. These are the three i carry, i keep one on my work pants, one on my long jeans, and one on my short jeans. So i can just change my pants when i get home from work without forgetting my knfe. Can you guess which one has the worn lock?

These knives span almost 40 years of production I cannot tell any difference in the quality.

I went on Amazon last night and ordered a new 110 with a leather sheath for $28 with free shipping. When you figure in the cost of the leather sheath @ $15, plus the shipping cost to return mine to Buck I got the new one for $3.

Think I'll have them bury the worn one with me when I go. Although Pondoro makes a good point about safety. Thanks guys, Ed

Awesome

I've never in my life had a 110 lock fail, and I've abused a couple in my day I have to say that.A friend once went to the er because the lock on his buck knife failed ,but it was not a buck knife, just a China copy !I once saw a guy use his 110 as a throwing knife and I was waiting for the lock to fail so I could give him the " told Ya so" speech but it didn't fail .most failures I would account to pocket lint or other debris in the blade notches or lock making the knife not fully lock.

No failures with me, family members or many friends using the 110 over the last four decades. The 110 is a great design standing the test of time.

I have put quite a bit of mileage on the 110 that I got as a gift from my sister in law last Xmas, and I have not had a single failure. I am usually of the mind that the right tool for the job is the one I have in my hand, and my 110 has yet to let me down.
