Anyone ever heard of "Cool Hand" knives? Mini Flippers in Titanium

Jeeee-ziss. It's a $10 anodized bit of pointy metal, with a flipper, and 440A was just fine for opening letters and packages 30 years ago as it is today.

I'm tired of washing tape glue off my "good" knife and thought the color and flip action was a neat trick for the money. I know the difference between 440's,and if it's treated right it'll be fine for opening boxes and letters and small enough to hang from the fridge.

Forum knife this year should be a jar of Jarbenza's.

Hmmm. If you buy a cheap knife you will have to eventually wash off the tape glue as you would an expensive or semi expensive knife.
Why not buy it and try it out instead of wanting everyone's approval? If you like it fine.
That does not mean others. Including myself. Have to.

To open letters I exclusively use a two centuries old katana. Nothing less will do. And to cut a sandwich, it's a historical nodachi, at least. Look, I get the "so cheap but yet so effective and satisfying" thing. But I tend to quench that thirst with legit brands. Like Case, Böker, Opinel, Muela and so many others. The Chinese "look a like" crap that floats around on the net just doesn't do it.

This is what I use for tasks like that

Point taken Mr. Opinion, this is probably coming from a place of "there isn't much out there I want to buy right now" so kind of scratching the otch to see some new anodized Ti without dropping $50 or more on a knife I don't need. I REALLY want a Evo Typhoon, or an Archnemesis, or a Deadlock, but until the right deal comes along on one of those I would rather buy a $15 knife once a month than spend $100 a month on a knife that's already duplicating something I have.
I laughed at the comment about slicing samiches with priceless swords, not too far off from opening boxes with $600 semi-customs.

Hey, at least this isn't the Micro Fortis from FF, I REALLY UNDERESTIMATED the size of that little thing.

LOL, it's actually exactly in scale with the FF mini. The blade steel obviously isn't terrific but they got the ano right and the "action" on it is on the mushy side, but the Ferrum Forge is way in the opposite direction. So I guess from my sample pool of 2, that itsybitsy knives are actually kind of a fun way to scratch a new knife itch without shaking down your wallet.

I appreciate your feedback and I highly encourage you to buy it if you feel the urge. I gave thought to the CRKT Deadbolt on the new M16 release. Until I realized that at $109 I want a bit more than 4116 Krupp. At least D2 or 9cr18 even.

I kind of like these for the same reason I like model battleships or airplanes. Miniature stuff is interesting, and we have the tools to work well with minis now.
