I was in a favorite store today that sells work gloves, and tools...ect that has a wall of cheap knives ( cheapo's with novelty factor for my collection, and expensive brands of spray paint for only 2$ ) and for 5$ ( didn't buy it, right hand only stud ) was a knife that had an axis style lock. Never had that type of lock, but I know it wasn't smooth at all but at least had no blade play . Maybe it just needed to break in but if I wanted that style of lock I'd go sanrenmu.

Anyways I was just wondering if anyone had seen one that wasn't a clone / fake and didn't have any markings other than the usual 440 China ?
Cause it seems like they're usually copy's or fakes.
I should room a picture because it may have been a loose copy ( I liked the design though )
Not looking for info, just curious as to what's out there now.

Yes there are some brands that are somewhat copies of major brands without being actual fakes, and those brands are sometimes discussed here. My understanding is that they are reasonably good products for the price, probably better quality than the fakes that would be sold for higher prices. Enlan is one of the brands that I seem to remember but there are a few others.

I know of those, but this one has absolutely no brand and the box was probably one of those generic grey " super knife " boxes.
I wonder if this is a sign that eventually even gas station knives will be 25-30$ quality for 5$

Yeah, there are lots of imported knives that have an Axis lock, G10 and no discernible markings. A couple of Years ago I bought a really well made flea market knife with G10 and an Axis lock. It had no markings other than what looked like full moon on the blade. Some time later I found out it was a copy of a Benchmade AFCK. it's likely that any import that uses an Axis lock is a copy in some way. They can be very well made knives, just not legit.
