Anyone ever tear apart a Kershaw Spec Bump?

Thought maybe the "tinkering" forum would be a good place to ask as well.

Mods, my apologies for cross linking, kill if need be.

Basically, I'm trying to get the blade on my new Spec Bump to stop riding on the clip side liner. I've pulled it apart and put it back together a few times, which has solved this issue on other knives I've owned.

However, the nature of the Speed Safe mechanism makes for a fiddly reassembly and I think something is getting off-set in the process. I dunno. Seems like I should be able to get the blade centered, but I can't. Loosening the pivot allows a little more clearance between the clip side liner and blade, but not enough to equal the gap on the other side of the blade. Plus, when I loosen the pivot, there's all kinds of lateral slop when it's locked up.

Anyone have any experience taking one of these apart and putting it back together- properly? Maybe there's something I'm not taking into consideration...

Seems a shame. It's a really nice knife and I'd love to carry it and use it, but I won't if I have to hear and feel the blade on the liner.
