I sent 2 knives out for one of his. From what he said my knife should have been here mon or tuesday at the latest. Its wednesday, my knife isnt here and he wont sent me a tracking # after a couple requests. Anyone ever have a similar experience with him?

I haven't traded with him, but you need to give it a couple more days. Shippers often screw-up due and is not the fault of the person you are trading with.

I've never seen him as being a flake. Give it a little more time....

Life has a way of intruding occasionally into the affairs of forumites.

Im giving him the benefit of the doubt. Not accusing yet. I just want to see if others had the same experience with him. Im just worried because he has yet to give me a tracking number. This is my second trade on the forums so Im still getting used to the whole "send me yours and Ill send you mine deal".

I sent him a link to this thread. Please be patient for a bit and give him a chance to respond.

Thanks

Jason

DOH! Well I guess I screwed that up. :p Thanks...I'l get in touch with the right person.

Still no knife, tracking number or response from either BF messages or emails. From what he said, he was told it would arrive tuesday the latest. It is now friday. This is kinda bugging me.

Do you have his number? As a precaution, next time when dealing with not well known members, or just ones lacking feedback you should ask them to ship first.

So MFShirley sent his knife to Not-Too-Sharp first?
You guys should have sent same time given that you're both lacking significant feedback. Or at least that's how it goes from my experience.
Good luck and I hope this gets sorted out.

Everythings been worked out. Thanks for the info and advice everyone. And thank you not-too-sharp for fixing this.

Good as a general rule of thumb, but as you can see in this instance, both sides are relatively new & without transaction histories. Sometimes, you just have to trust in the other guy/gal.

I just noticed, MFShirley is quite a new member, and actually not-too-sharp has been there longer. Personally, I just don't participate in trades, unless its a physical meeting being to being.

Not that it's a a huge deal, but just so my future trades/sales don't have negative stigma attached to them, I feel like I should elaborate. This trade was a perfect storm of complications. The knife I sent out was returned to me (while I was overnighting at AP Hill) with a return to sender sticker, even though the address I received was the same the second time I sent it out yesterday. Also I was in and out of live fire and FTX training for work (the above overnighter) and didn't have access to my email at all times. I've fixed the problem with MFShirley and barring any postal service craziness the knife should get to him on Monday. Also low feedback isn't always a great indicator of seller's/traders. I've made around 10 collective trades/sales on BF that went perfectly and the other trader/buyer/seller just didn't bother to rate me, and I'm pretty sure the one I do have just says "good to trade with" lol. Not trying to be aggressive or target anyone in particular but I just wanted to address this in case someone decides my rating is "too low" or does some search fu on the site and has this as the only trade reference. Again, not trying start anything or be overly aggressive, just trying to protect my reputation. Bladeforums is where I spend 90+% of my online time and the exchange is an awesome place to get great deals that I enjoy using regularly. Thanks again for the heads up, and thanks for being patient and not flipping out MFShirley. I hope the knife gets to you on time and that we are square. *RANT OVER*;) lol -Andrew

not-too-sharp= a stand up guy. For the bulls#17 that happend, he made it right and did something that he didnt have to do. Life happens and communication gets put aside which is normal and understandable. I would gladly trade with him again. Extremely pleasant and a gentleman.
