Anyone ever used the Lansky Quick Fix Pocket Sharpener?

About to order it in a bundle with a new RSK Mini.

It's only $2 more so I figure what the hell.

Anyone know what angle it's at? Have any experience with one?

My pockets never get dull...so no.

Those pull through v sharpeners are garbage. Dont bother.

Not a bad item to throw into an emergency kit b/c of its small size. It'll make a dull knife usable, but not exactly "sharp" in the sense we are used to. Before I knew anything about knives, I put my mini RSK through one of those (mine didn't come bundled). It basically ruined the edge. A Sharpmaker, some supplementary diamond rods, and few hours sharpening later, I finally managed to get the edge back. Long short... spend those two dollars on some beef jerky.

Yes, pull through sharpeners generally are weak. Tiny little croc sticks with too small of a surface area.

Hmm...there is a good meat market here with great beef jerky.

And I'm not going to be using it to sharpen my knives. Planning on springing for a Sharpmaker eventually. I can sharpen a knife on a stone, but it's far from what you'd call a well-done job. Just wondering if it's the type that tears your blade in half as opposed to actually sharpening it.

You probably want to stay away from pull-through sharpeners.

Don't get that sharpener. Get the beef jerky.
