Anyone for a BM 942 Pass-around?

I've had the knife for about 3 months and absolutely love it (got a red one coming and no this wouldn't be for the red one). Just finished reading about the Spydie and the Buck pass arounds and figured that BM needed the exposure. And I'm just curious to see if with the axis lock and the different blade shape if anyone else would appreciate what I appreciate about it a great 'lil knife. If interested let me know, it looks like a week (+/- 1 week) per person is about right and a limit of 10 people (with a couple of alternates?).

AND if this works someone want to do a Harley pass-around?:rolleyes:

PS I work a swing shift so won't be able to respond till after 10 at night or the following morning.
 
Hmmm, yeah I'd like to, email forthcoming.

Also, just as a note, you should probably be prepared to send out an email each and every week just to remind people. It's a bummer, but I think almost required.

Also, I think it helps participation to drop a note in the community forum and maybe the benchmade forum with a link back to here.

The only Axis lock I tried was one handled in a store, I wasn't impressed. The 940 series has always caught my eye however, I would love to give my appraisal of the knife.
 
Sure I don't mind. Would you mind if someone have to ship to Canada?
 
I would love to participate. I've been looking at the 940 for a long time, but haven't known whether I'd like carrying and using it as much as my Spydies. Thanks for the offer!

sounds like a good idea, ive got my own 942 so no need for me to be on the list, but I love my 942 also, splendid knife
 
So far we've got 6. We need at least 4 more. People will be added in order of e-mails received and e-mails with addresses will have priority. I sat down tonight and figured out a couple of rules. If not acceptable to you or if you've got a better idea let me know.

1. Send to the next person by USPS/Priority/Delivery Confirmation
2. If you abuse the knife, no problem, but do no more than "normal care" i.e. clean/oil/sharpen. No problem with changing pocket clip (for lefties).
3. When you ship the knife try (if possible) to submit an evaluation in the next day or two in this thread, with pictures if you can.
4. If you're not going to be in town when you think you'll be receiving the knife let us know so we can throw an alternate in there, so we can keep the knife moving.

Thats it, use it like it was your own and lets see how many BM converts there'll be after its made its rounds. Or not...

We've now got the basic 10. I still need an address for Calyth. I'd like to see a couple of people for alternates. Additionally American Heritage Sports has contacted me to donate a brand new 942 to be used for the pass around. Joe is shipping the knife this morning so that I should have it by Saturday morning. I will be shipping the knife by Monday at the latest.
