Anyone Get New Bucks Today?

Hi All,

Hay, did anyone get any new Buck knives under the tree today???? Well I got lucky and got 3 new Alpha's (B694-BK-0, B279-BK-0, B278-BK-0) and a new Omni (B395-BK-0). What a day :D The kids and grand kids are running all over the place. I am truly blessed to have a wonderful family to be with at Christmas. I hope you all are have a fine time today; Marry Christmas to one and all.

...Sounds like a great day for ya John...I didn't get any "new" Bucks today but I got some neat "stuff" to help make older one's or any newer one's I do get more to my liking...LOL...I got a drill press, and a disc sander/belt sander combination and a new arbor press to replace the old slug I had been using. I ate too many cookies, took too few pictures and in general had a fantastic day with my kids and grand kids...:) :thumbup: :thumbup:
 
Well, you guys had a nice Christmas Day and I did as well. No Bucks, they came in this past week, but I handed out a few. I enjoyed time with my family, and too much good food everywhere we went. I did get some nice socks and underwear:rolleyes:
 
My XMASS Bucks were a 102 Special with the Cocobolo and Brass handle and a second 112 Founder's Edition.
 
I got a display case, a stuffed buck (little beagle's going back to the Big House -cage- if she don't realize it's not hers), a 110AG Stag, 105 Rosewood & Brass, and a 401LE Kalinga Buffalo.

Thinking my family has got me figured out. They don't get it (my oldest daughter just flatly calls it "wierd"). But if ya gotta ask, ya wouldn't understand.

Thanks for the chuckle and sharing. I want you all to know how much I have appreciated "meeting" you guys here and how you brighten my days. No matter how stressful the day may have been, I can always find a smile here.
You are like an extended family and I am blessed to know you, the regular herd that have hearts of gold.

no new ones for me but going by the newsletter 07 is looking good :thumbup:
and like goose says its nice to be able to come here with you guys and joke and exchange info i am always able to learn something here even if it is something i didnt need to know ;) :D

I must confess my sins. My brother in-law gave me a Leatherman liner lock. Nice EDC, but alas, not a Buck. Forgive me all.

But, 2 -3 weeks ago my lovely wife approved the purchase of a 532 (BG42). What an awsome knife! My personal favorite.

At first I read "what a awesome wife" LOL.
But I think most of are lucky in that regard. Anyone else get a stuffed Buck? I never even have seen one but she found it. I am a lucky buck...
 
No bucks for me this year... but I am expecting some nice packages..

course... if anyone wants to donate a 110NS BG42 Buffalo scales then I would not be too unhappy LOL

Nice knife, this is my first 102, but it seems very handy like it will make a good game knife.
 
Girlfriend saved the best present for last, she got me a 889 SBMF :thumbup: I think she caught on to my new found love for Buck's so she went out and picked me up one, here are some pictures I took on Christmas Day.

I like the choil on those 102 untis also.

I received a Buck Battlin Bucks Folder as a Christmas gift. It is a beautiful knife but I am wondering what blade steel it sports. The only markings on the Super polished blade are "Buck" "USA" and a stamping of an anvil. The knife looks like an Alpha and has Thick Elk Horn Scales and a pair of fighting buck heads in gold in the middle of the blade. Can anyone clue me as to the Blade material.... Thanks. ~baba~

Is This the one? If so...it's a limited edition made for Basspro Shop, blade steel is 420.

Same model knife different mechanics... :D 420HC is also my bet.
Buck doesnt do alot of laser cutting on their higher end blade steels.
Also if you look at both sides of the blade, it will be stamped if it is a different steel. (ATS-34, 154Cm, BG-42, S30V etc...)

I didnt get any more Buck Knives for xmas But I did use my Xmas "Bucks" to go to Cabelas today and pick up a nice 110AG,
Does that count???
