Anyone get their EU17 today?

#10 arrived yesterday. I really like this handle. It fits my hand very well. Great balance and feel. I'm glad I got in on this offer! :)

Oh Dwayne......

At last! Mystery solved! I was able to track the package. Turned out that delivered was attempted yesterday at 1739 hours, but the postman couldn't find our apartment number in the buzzer list outside. I called the post office and the lady I spoke to said that the apartment number had been removed from the package. Don't know how that happened. Well, my wife is on the way to the post office to pick up the package. Woooohoooo!!! Nice talking to you today, Jerry. :D

I've been handling #29 for a day now and in serious regrets for not getting one in the first place! :( I am really liking the handle and blade combo. I'm dreaming up some pretty nifty leather for this one indeed! :D:D I'll have this blade as long as Bill will let me drool on it ;) Thanks soooooooooooooo much brother!!! :D:D

I'll second that after playing with this blade for a while I just don't what to put it down really nice balance and the handle shape and feel are sweet.
I can't wait to see what Leatherman comes up with for a sheath :D :D

Oh yeah! #30 is here! My wonderful wife went to the post office to pick it up. :D The part of the label where our apartment number should be was torn. :( To complicate matters, we aren't listed yet in the buzzer list at the entrance. Here are some pics:

The EU17 somehow reminds me of Andy Prisco's Knight Lite. I like the fact that I can switch grips for point manipulation at the front to chopping and slicing at the rear. Thanks very much, Jerry and Team for the EU17!

Hey, you got fancy USPS tape on your sheath! All I got was plan ol' clear
packing tape.

What was I thinking? #29 is in Texas. I think that's even further away than Ohio. Close anyways. I'll have clothes first though. Thanks Dwayne. There had better not be any drool staining! I reserve that right for me!!

Cheers,
BJB :D

p.s. Whoohooo!

I got my #3 EU17 in today. Very impressed. The things that I have heard about Busse knives seem to be true. Still not sure that I can bring myself to use it but now I know that I need to get another Busse or two... ;)

well,,,that always seems to be the question with Busse Knives,,"TO USE OR NOT TO USE", I have never "used " any of mine,,,been tempted a time or two,,,but I could never bring myself to do it..Looks like i am gonna have to order two of the Fusion steel hearts, one for the collection and one for a "user" blade.

:D

Just use it. What surprised me was when I first started beating the daylights out of my Steel Heart-E was that after the first use it still looked like it did before I used it. Still shaved as well.
The NO-E I'm currently packing around is still in really good shape. The only real way to know it gets used is the micarta has discolored from hand oils.
Good stuff indeed.

I know Dwayne (a.k.a. Leatherman) is working on something. I'm sure the moodex boys will speak up soon too.

Cheers,
BJB :D

Unfortunately, nothing here as of Oct, 19th 2004. It definitely takes way to much time for the European EU17s to get here ... I really wonder what slows them down ... :(

Could anyone post more specs of the EU17s, please? :D

Best regards!

Just wanted to throw this out for everyone. I wanted to get a sheath as quick as I could for my EU17. I thought that I would try the sheath that came with my Becker Knife and Tool BK7. I removed the kydex insert and used a heat gun so that it could open up a bit more on one end because the EU17 is wider. It may not be the greatest sheath in the world but it really isn't that bad and will be nice until I can get something else made. I believe that you can get extra sheaths from Camillus customer service for $10 or $15.

Excuse My Lack Of Busse Knives. But Which Knife Is The Eu17, Can You Still Order Even Though The Meaner Street Is Being Offered.

Dorin,
Eu17 was a military overrun. I beleive only 37 were released to the civilian world and the only way to get one was to log onto the beer chat the night they became available and wait for Busse to say "GO" then the fastest emails to him got knives. Keep your eyes open for guys selling their extras on the exchange forum.
