Anyone got a chart that shows which dies go with which taps?

All the charts I can find have drill sizes for various taps. What I have is a bunch of old taps and dies from my grandfather, an unthreaded knife tang and a piece of bronze I want to drill and tap. I'm trying to find which die to use. Any ideas would be very appreciated.

See this chart, Major diameter is the measurement that your tang must be for that thread.
You're probably looking at number ten for a three sixteenths tang thickness and so on.

Once you've figured out the tang size
you have the die thread size
Then you use that matching tap
lookup the tap drill size for that tap.

thanks, i'll try to figure that out when I'm more awake! My traditional method of "drill hole, fill with epoxy puddy, insert tang" just seems inelegant.
