Anyone got their Ti Military from preorder yet?

Is it really worth $30 to wait months and months for a "pre-order" that turns out to be a "get it several months after its been released" order?

If it is for you, thats groovy. I respect frugality. But the "P" in Powernoodle does not stand for "patience". :)

Since it's not something I need, yes. $30 saved is $30 saved. Plus I'm still enjoying the anticipation of getting mine while many who spent the extra $30 have now moved on and their Ti Milli is sitting in a drawer.

Not me, I would just pay the 30$ premium to have it sooner.

I'd be pi$$ed off if I was on a pre-order and I still hadn't received my military months after they were released to the public.

Well I guess I wouldn't be too pi$$ed because I would just cancel my per-order and buy one from a site that has them in stock.

From the various threads I've read Spyderco is only making 50-100 Ti Military per month. Depending on how many dealers are getting some that doesn't leave a lot to go to any one dealer for back orders. Of course the up side is that every preorder canceled moves the rest up another notch on the delivery.

I received an Email From Jeff at CS this week.

He said "Good question, and one that I asked Spyderco again today. Wish I had a concrete answer for you, but they have not told us when to expect the next batch."

Thanks for the update. Wonder what a normal 'batch' is that a dealer gets is? 5 knives per month? 2 knives per month? 20 knives per month? Also wonder how many people are on the list. 30? 500? No idea, these are rhetorical questions, I'm just itching for my knife.

I got my pre-order Ti today , what an awesome knife! It took right at one year since I pre-ordered it from CS. I saved $58.69 by waiting, instead of buying it from some places that already had it in stock.

Congratulations. If you ordered in July of 09 then my late September order might not be too far behind.
