Afraid we just got ripped off for almost $3,000 by Dark Ops ... we craft custom Kydex sheaths ... Frank Miller, pres of co. featured our sheaths in a showcase at recent Vegas SHOT show -- now he will not take my calls. Any ideas?

deaminate them.

In all seriousness I would think legal options would be the best route if he isn't talking to you.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. There has been questions about Dark Ops legitimacy from the start.

A search (via google) of bladeforums will reveal quite a bit.

If you have a contract for the sheaths, get a lawyer.
Depending on small claims in your State, it might be as cheap as $500 and your time to get them into court/paying out.

No contract, much more difficult issue.

Welcome to BF. Did you know Dave Gittelman in Pahrump?

Sorry about your business problem. Dark Ops began operations with accusations from Extrema Ratio about Frank, their former US rep, having decamped with some of their knives. As an Italian company, they weren't in a great position to pursue this in the courts.

I wish you much better luck. Please keep us informed.

Thanks for the welcome - wish I'd found out about this site sooner. Dave Gittelman's name sounds very familiar ... but then, I was a reporter for the local newspaper, so everybody sounds familiar. Shalom

If this is likely to go into the legal system, I wouldn't post any email correspondence in public. Save the correspondence for a lawyer and let them advise you what to do.
