I’m used to 2x72 but this is for sharpening at farmers markets and be more travel friendly. The only belt that tracks perfect is a ceramic merit belt with Y cloth backing.

Trizacts in 2x48 track terribly, same with Norton blue fire, and norax. They bump about 1/4-1-2” side to side. It’s driving me nuts. Any merit to a shorter belt having worse tracking? I assumed a shorter belt would have less stretch so more rigid and track better. Tru-Grit has been super helpful on the phone, but they don’t have a 2x48 in their shop to test.

We even laughed given the batch of belts I bought, the merit ceramics were the cheapest of the bunch yet they track dead on no side to side movement.

There is s 3M belt 2, they have in 2 x 72 in 120 Grit that’s a J weight and a Hermes Orange Backed 600 grit J weight that if they have them in 2 x 48 ?? They are the cats meow for Sharpening ...Ask Ryan or Scott to look up the ones I buy the most from them .. I’m exhausted from working my Farmers Market & cant remember all of the details!!;)
