Anyone have a Benchmade Mini Tactical pro sharpener?

I bought 3 or 4 Benchmade knives from GPKNIVES over the last six months or so. Well, when my Contego came in a few days ago they threw one in for free. I thought great... a pull through sharpener. Well it just so happened I had a nice Burr on my Rukus from my 1x30 and was going to put it on one of my 5 DMT stones when I got home. Instead, I tried out the pull through sharpener, which is at a steep 30 degree angle. After three light passes the Burr was gone and it shaves pretty nicely. It's not going to get your knives super sharp, but it will shave. The best part is it fits nicely on your keychain so you can carry it everywhere for touch-ups. And thanks GPKNIVES!

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. It's about time a pull through sharpener sharpens. I may have to pick one up, I have always wanted to have a couple that actually worked, throw one in my car, work, my hiking bag. I know, I could just get a Diafold or something but my free hand isn't reliable anymore.
 
To my understanding, pull through sharpeners are awful to use on your knives. The reason being that they change the direction of the grind lines on the cutting bevel and chew up your edge.

Here is a close up picture of what they will do to your edge with repeated use.
