Anyone have a Buck Diamondback with hard plastic sheath?

Does anyone have a buck Diamondback with a hard plastic sheath? It fits into the two circular divots on the handle...

I wanted to buy one of these, but I can only find them in a belt-sheath version.

Kenny, there were two models of that knife one over 4" and the other over 3" . Which do you have ? DM

I have the smaller one. I bought it a few years back when a Galyans store went out of business. I think I paid $7.

I was repairing a snapped tip on the one I handled, but I would say that it was the 4" one.

In the 2006 Dealer catalog they are listed as new and four are in there . The 472, 473 are the 3 1/8" models, first has a gut hook . Then 478 and 479 are 3 7/8" models . For all I know they may have used the same sheath for all models . They stay the same until the 2010 catalog . Now they are named the Bucklite Max and the model 679 is 4" long and the 673 is 3 1/4 . But very near the same knife and no Diamondback . DM
