anyone have a grip & d'allara drop point?

the d'allara reminds me of the grip a lot, blade profile, opening hole, lock; so I was wondering if anyone had one of each to compare.

I'll amost assuredly be ordering a couple soon, and I have a d2 minigrip, so I might be able to get you that comparison...

the d`allara drop point looks like it was priced to compete with the grips specifically also. But I like VG10 more than 440C.

I've got a D'Allara on the way. I've also got a large RitterGrip and my girlfriend has a regular MiniGrip. I'll add my thoughts on once I can play with it a bit.

Yeah I noticed the D'allara today and it is VERY similar to the 550. Same blade style, similar steel, similar locks, similar handles...hmmm. I would like to see a full fledged comparison test between these two.

That looks great and you're right, it does seem comparable to the Grip.
Too bad it's not a flat grind.

I'm getting very fond of this D'Allara here. Worth waiting for, think you'll like it. It's very comfortable in my hand.

Looks like the offspring of a Spyderco and Benchmade. Nice knife. Any other blade styles?

It's got a rescue blade (no tip, full serrated), true 50/50 serrated and the straight edge you see here. I'll probably be ordering two 50/50s.
