I have been waiting 2 years for a CRK Backpacker but it really looks like this will do everything the Backpacker will. Anyone have one?
 
Don't have one, but here's a picture with it's Magnacut blade.

It looks like a great knife. I wish the sheath was not so open, as it seems it will collect debris and snow (although it would wash out easily). Pretty good price right now.
 
It should come with a kydex sheath and ulti clip as well as the goofy looking nylon blade guard. I have the original model in m4. One of my favorite knives for dressing critters.
 
I have an Extrak XL in MC on its way to try while I wait on CRK. I will update this thread after I use it a bit.

The TiNy from UG-Tools would fit this very well, 65 HRC Magnucut, very light and likely almost indestructible in NORMAL knife uses, given the 3D printed titanium handle. I really like mine.
 
I've got the small one in M4, its fantastic. So thin and light but plenty of blade and handle.

The sheath isn't much though... usual story. I carry it in my manbag.

My Extrak XL arrived today and the knife is perfect. Thin and slicy and nice in the hand. The sheath-like thing it came in, on the other hand is ridiculous. Flimsy and without any way to attach to a belt. I may have to dig out my kydex press and try to make something for it. 20241213_142713.jpg20241213_142802.jpg

They must have quit including the kydex and ulti clip? That sucks.

Edit- website says kydex and blade guard for smaller size. No kydex for the xl....lame.

This is an opportunity for a custom sheath maker and a major blunder by Hogue.
