Anyone have a knife that has a blade and can opener only?

1. I can't think of a knife that only has a knife + can opener only.

2. Buy a decent manual can opener(s), 18 inches of light chain, and bolt/connect one end to the opener and the end to the counter/wall so people can't steal them.

3. If you have a table/counter area, get a manual opener that screws/bolts to the table/counter. These are found in many restaurant and pretty sturdy.

4. Then buy yourself a new knife of some type.
I actually have a couple of those that mount to a table they are beasts and straight up don’t break. I have food trucks and space can be an issue. I have another one of those at my commissary where we do heavy prep and cooking.

A solid knife made of tough steel shouldn't need a can opener - for it is one.
The can opener wasn't invented until January 5, 1858, some 50 years after canned food was commercially available.
Sorry of that did not answer the exact question posed, but a good knife can do much.

Agree 100% with this.

Got a knife? You already have a can opener:

Bottle opener too:

Need to poke a hole in a license plate (for whatever reason), the blade works better than the can opener for that too:

I've got a Syracuse Knife Company knife from I'm guessing the 1920's or 1930's with clip point blade and combination (flat blade) screwdriver and bottle opener/cap lifter. It has seen "better days". At least one former owner did not lube the joints.
I also have a couple of those Marbles MR278, and a Army Reserve issue (1975) "Demo" knife that looks identical to the Marbles MR278.

A second reply for the Victorinox Bantam.
The tool is actually a combo tool - bottle opener, can opener, screwdriver. But it fits your needs.

Remember there are guys here who won’t cut a steak on a ceramic plate. I think they would starve before opening a can like that.

I was going to say victorinox bantam or waiter as well but just to be different I'll say one of those "my first" victorinox knives with a rounded tip and can opener the version without the saw. You did say you would be lending it to morons at your workplace :p

Bantam is the first thing I thought of. However, the non-Alox version is pretty flexy - not that you'd use it for particularly tough cutting tasks, but even when whittling a bit of wood there's significant give in the scales. Not a deal-breaker by any means but it's something I wasn't expecting when i got it.

They make an eco-line version of it, the nylon scales are a lot tougher. They do an eco version of the Waiter also. I have nylon on all my sak's for that reason and additionally the added grip and better 'look' in general.
