Anyone have a pic. of the box for a 112- Cat.1- Ver 1 ???

Mine is the same as EEE's. And the two part box does not have a cat number on it.

I do need another box and paper for the other one.

Well, here it is pictured with a Cat II, Ver III...the Cat II knife came with the two part box and papers pictured, so they were using the two part at least to this point...
so these two now reside in the box and the sheaths in the flap box...I guess my search goes on as well......

That IS a real beauty of a knife.

The lines of the blade are not just art, but great art.

Thanx BG...there is something very special about these early blades... A much more complex grind to them. This knife truly is mint/un-used... I'm going to leave it as found.... No need to make it shiny :)

Here is a three dot FG 112 that I bought a few years ago from a former BUCK REP. He said he had someone in the factory do this radius work for him. He may have overdone it for some's taste. I also have a four dot 110 FG the same way from him.

I have five like that and they all have pretty much the same degree of hand radiusing.

I think that's the way they all were. Do you have any or have you seen any FG Three-Dotter 112s that were not radiused?

HK... Thanx for those pics. So we see the one piece box with a three dot! Perhaps even earlier?
I kind of like that radius job on that one

BG, I've really have never focused on the 112s, though I've had a few over the years. So I really don't know if I've ever seen one. If I did, it didn't register with me.

so a 2ditter would be correct with either box.

The transition would take at least a year, I suppose, with both kinds of boxes being used during that time period.

It's always possible that somebody found a stash of two-piece boxes a couple years later, too.

Strange stashes of stuff seem to get hidden around that Buck factory a lot.

:D

I guess I'd have to say the same. Lots of things probably haven't registered with me. :D

I'm beginning to think I won't see an unradiused 112 FG Three-Dotter, though.

Here's a three line, no dots, micarta. I'm sure there are lots out there, but i've not seen too many of them.

Thanx Haebbie
I guess I'm lucky to have at least one proper box...for pictures/display purposes the knives don't seem to mind shareing ;)
