Anyone have an MSAR STG-556?

I had a chance to buy a full auto Steyr assault rifle in Bulgaria. It was during their hyperinflation economic crash in the 1996-1998 period.
Kid wanted $7 for it. An actual full auto for $7.

I just did not see risking serious jail time for trying to figure out how to get it state side. At the time, you could mail anything from the city I was in. They never even looked in the packages. But some one at the other end has to pick the package up. I could have taken it down, and shipped all the non serial numbered parts separate and just carried the receiver home, but again, you run the risk of being caught in violation of federal law.

That is not to mention getting caught by the Bulgarian government with an illegal weapon. I shudder to think of spending decades, or even life in a Bulgarian prison.

On the other side of that coin. I shudder to think what would happen if I was caught by the Bulgarian mafia with a rifle they had stolen fair and square from the Romania mafia (who in turn had hijacked a whole semi of them from some one else).

Heck yeah, if I can get a hold of one. The one with the A2 sights sounds like a pretty good option. I may order one and just wait for the several months to pass rather than looking on various auction sites. There a gunshow down here on Turkey day weekend, so I'll be trolling the aisles to see if someone has one by chance.

I have not seen any of the Hampton A2 sight models at the shows... except for Knob Creek where DSA sets up... It is an excellent weapon. I ordered a para fal and when it came in THEN I noticed that I could have gotten the A2 sights for about $175 more... FAL, M1-A, HK-91, AR-10.. definately get some .308... good range and mainly PUNCH... The guys who have the Squad designated Marksman rifles in Iraq are being issued a new 77 grain round that is having much better results than the 62 grain(green tip) round.. our military is finally coming to the realization that the little round is just not getting the job done.. thus the test on the 6.8... but we already have a 308 I think that's why the m240 are so popular, and the guys getting issued M14 "and now DSArms MADE FALS are happy campers" yes... we are using fals.. amazing...

I can't wait for the Bushmaster ACR to come out, if it ever does. I wish Magpul kept the license to solely produce it. I think BM is overrated.

Well, It finally arrived and I was able to get in and pick it up.

For now I have a Hakko Red Dot sight. Just need to get it out of the box and mount it. Eventually I would like to get something better, but need to stock up on mags first before Obama takes over.
