Does anyone have this book? How'd you like it? I talked to Mr. Robinson on the phone the other day, and was going to buy his trapper plans, buy decide to his get the book instead. I understand it has a set of plans in addition to the book part.

I'm really excited to get it. I don't have all the stuff he uses like a mill for the flats or a surface grinder, but hopefully buying precision ground stock will help a bit?

I don't own it but a friend of mine has a copy and I have read through it several times.I think it's worth the money. And Don is one of the good guys always willing to help,he helpled me a bunch when I started.

Stan, I was actually thinking about you and your bolster soldering tutorial yesterday when I ordered the book. I am excited I'm actually going to get to use that information!
Thanks again!

I was actually reading through it earlier this week.

Seems like a decent book; I need to give slip joint making a try soon.

Precision ground stock makes everything easier.

See, it's like this; I woke up and though, "hey, my life's not complicated enough, how about I try to make a pocket knife?" lol

Yes I have it.It's an excellent publication as are all the ones he offers for sale. He sure isn't going to make money on it but I'm also sure, he just wants to help others. Frank.

You probably don't have to worry about special tooling or even following exact plans. I think you'll get a lot out of the book, and will likely refer back to it down the road.

Take care, Craig
