Subject pretty much says it all. Have any of you guys attended the wilderness clurses from Mark at Medicine Bow in North Ga or know anything about him? It seems like the closest thing to me so I'm going to try his classes out and see how they are. If so, tell me what you think.

Thanks
Dylan

Anyone? Yes no? I guess I'll be the first here to try this guy's classes.

Dylan,

I don't have experience with him, but have heard about him. I don't remember any bad feedback, but can't say one way or the other for sure.

Mark is extremely knowledgeable. Much of what he passes alongs is based from the Cherokees and he has a particular affinity for edible and medicinal plants. If you take one of his courses, don't hesitate asking lots of questions.

Got any more information on the courses, Dylan? I am in Smyrna and am interested in something like this.

I'm not far from there in NC, how about we talk about a BladeForums W & SS class with him if there is some interest?

I sent him an email and he seemed like a pretty nice guy. I got the whole schedule of his classes from his website. I'll definitely be going to as many as I can. If anyone else wants to go, maybe we can make some group trips. Unfortunately I work on Saturdays and i don't know how many i can take off and thats when a lot of his classes are, so unless something changes (job) then I might only be able to make it to two or three. I can definitely get to all of his Sunday stuff though. Here is a link to his website. Seems really cool.

New development for anyone keeping up with this or interested in the courses...

I talked to my boss today and told him about this stuff and said, "If you guys don't mind, I'd REALLY like to take a few Saturdays off so i can do these things. Is that cool?" The boss told me it was fine. So that means, I'm going to go to a lot more of these than i thought I'd be able too. My friend, Donovan is probably going to come with me. If anyone else wants to go, either start a thread for each one, or if I have already started a thread for one, then just let us know that you're going. If any of you guys ordered patches from Preacherman, I'll recognise them. I'll have my patch on so people from here can pick me out there.

I've been talking with Mark Warren. He's the guy that runs the Medicine Bow classes. He seems like a really nice, good guy. I'm looking forward to doing his classes. I'll take some pictures and give a proper review when I do it. I think the first one I'll get to is going to be the wild plant identification class he's having on the 17th - 18th of May. He has a stalking and tracking class on the 12th and 13th of April, but due to my trip on the A.T. being right before that, I don't think I'll make it to that one. Anyways, I'll let you guys know how it goes.
