Anyone have experience with this motor?

Generic mexican or chinese motor, that should do what you need it to if you're building a grinder.

Lots of these on the market, being sold under various names, lots of them running on various people's grinders. Should be a safe bet, although it's no Baldor.

If shopping eBay for motors, check out hgrauctions . A new Baldor motor of your specs usually runs less than $50 plus shipping. Often it goes for $20. They have a stainless Leeson 2HP/3Ph for the money of the one you linked. Brand new 1HP 3Ph motors often go for $15 plus shipping. They come and go weekly, so check regularly to see what is available. They also combine shipping, so two motors will usually ship for barely more than one. It often works out that a new 1HP plus a 2HP with shipping is less than $100.

These folks have a warehouse in Euclid, OH that takes up a huge city block. All online auctions start at $3.99

Thanks for the info guys. Just to be clear will a 2hp run on 120v and put out less hp? Or should I get a 1.5hp?

A motor will run very near its nameplate rating, if supplied with the right voltage, and phase.

That doesn't change until you introduce bad start components (especially in single phase motors) , or VFD's (on 3 phase mototrs).
