Anyone have pics of an RS next to a Meaner? I am looking for handle length and width comparisions. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks
 
Aw man... I'm already drinking beer and smoking a yard-bird. Typing is the hardest work I'm willing to do at this point. :D

Generally... the meaner has a 1/2" longer blade and I believe it has a shorter handle overall.

The Rodent Sol doesn't quite suit me as it is more handle than blade. Balance is just all wrong for my hand. Still... It works great for other guys.


If someone doesn't beat me to it I'll put some pics up tomorrow.

I need more handle than blade and actually find the RS a touch short and skinny. It is almost perfect, just missing something for my hands. If the RS hand another 1/2" in both directions it may be the perfect blade for me. post pics when you can. The last thing I want to do is interupt relaxation and beer.

I have huge hands and this thing has the perfect handle.

Better view here. My hands are 4 & 1/4 inches across the knuckles and this handle fits my hand perfectly. It has a nice 4 inch blade with decent thickness.

HRLM (micarta) (SR101) = 9 oz; .19"; 4.13" blade; 9.3" oal

I've looked at the HRLM but want to go with INFI as I love the RS and SR101 but it attracts rust like a fat kid on cake.
 
No RS but I have a lot of other stuff in that range. I still have most of these if you want any different side by sides

the Scrofa handle is just like the meaner, and they have almost exactly the same profile as a mudder but not as thick.

Well this is terribly embarrasing! I can't find my RS!!! WTH?


It's gotta be around here somewhere... I'll hunt for it later, man... sorry.

I have both and find the Meaner to be a better fit in my hands. The RS is a awesome knife and is my work EDC
 
I have BIG hands... I am looking to put either a rodent solution or mean Street anniversary in a cross draw sheath as an edc.. And to compliment my R6 at camp... I would love to see a picture of these handles next to each other, as well as from above for thickness... Although it seems darkaether has every other possible blade this size! Nice pics of those!

Anybody got the regular mean Street cg/le that they currently sell, with the RS?
 
Sorry guys I didn't mean to hijack this thread I just realized the original poster was asking about the MEANER Street. I saw the title I guess and ran with it....
meluck, those are a couple beauts!
It almost looks like the RS would be better for big paws. Are the scales thicker as well on the RS?... Only other question is as an EDC is the meanstreet going to be far superior at slicing tasks? I'm going double cut finish with whichever I choose.
 
Why did I look at your photo stream?! Now I want 27 more knives! Wow, meluck you have some sort of awesome collection of blades!

The active duty is the standard black micarta scales, but very well used. That poor knife has been through the proverbial ringer. Its not come out clean, but its come out alive. :) Its a Heavy Duty so it started out life challenged. :p
 
Looking at it on my phones screen I thought it was a handle I hadn't seen lol It's good to see the hard use knives get used hard! I only have one so far and I try to beat the hell out of it. Makes me want to sell my shelf queens to buy more knives to use/abuse ..... Damn you Busse/kin knives!
The coating seems to not really wear off on these like the big choppers... Maybe I should try a coated blade. But again I want to slice with this small knife, food etc...
