DANGIT!! I just got a reloading press, was all set to try this out, but now NOBODY ON EARTH has either .223 or .308 reloading dies!!

GAH!!

The only ones I've seen on Ebay or Gunbroker were either rusted out, incomplete, or LUDICROUSLY overpriced (The set of .223 dies--used!--for $60), and every site I've been to is "Out of stock." I've got a backorder on a set of each, but am informed that the wait could be anything from 7 weeks to 6 months (it's like getting cable installed--"We'll be there sometime between 8 am and 5 pm!").

D'OH!

So, I'm wondering if any of you folks know of someplace that actually HAS them, in stock, to order from? I'll pay premium prices, I know, but that's life. I don't mind paying high market value, but I'm not looking to get robbed. If I wanted that, I'd just wait for our local Gun Show, where prices go 10-60% above retail...

So, thoughts? As always, my thanks in advance to all.

Hi,

Try Midway shooting supplies. They seem to have dies in stock for your calibres.

Midway will also take back orders and usually fills them within 30 days or less. Another possible source is Natchez Shooter's Supply--Google them.

I'd looked at both Midway and Natchez, and they were both backorder only. I went ahead and ordered through Midway. I guess there's nothing for it...I'll have to sit and wait.

Curses to the politicos. :p:grumpy::p

Dillon Precision seems to have .223 dies, didn't check the other calibers.

OMIGOD!! *faints*

I gotta be looking at the wrong thing...They want $135 for a 3-die set?!? :eek:

Man, what are they, plated with depleted uranium from the fillings of virgin tree sloths?!? Thanks for the point-out, but I'll sit here, quietly, and wait for Midway. I ordered both sets for under $50, and hopefully, they'll be here by mid-May.

Are the Midway dies carbide?

I ordered some from Midway, it took a couple of weeks as they were on back order but I got them.
