I placed an order for a couple bottles of diamond spray at least 6 weeks ago and have sent a few emails and have heard nothing. I know he was working on his website but it appears to be back going now. I'm sure he is a great guy and is just busy but I would really like to get my hands on the stuff that I ordered and he isn't answering my emails either.

I don't think not selling to people who want your product is a very effective business model. So has anyone had any contact? Thanks!

Haven't made a direct purchase in years but I know he's not the fastest, have you tried calling?

As they say, good things take time :)

Keith sent my items out quick and threw in a couple freebies too cause he was alittle late too ;). He's probably just getting into the swing of his new shipping method. I was very angry when I got extra charged to my paypal for shipping on items I ordered 2 weeks ago :(. I'm very happy he changed the billing method.

Just checked his site! It's apparently closed till the 4th probably another reason for delayed shipment.

I've ordered from him several times, and every time, he sent extra freebies because he was so late. It does get old.

This same thing happened to me only I emailed, called 3 times left messages, the calls were not returned . Finally I called again, got him, wanted to order a item he had but he told me to call back after the first of the year as he was busy and didn't have time to package it right then . So, I thought he doesn't want to sell me something, I'll buy from someone else . It was a small item but still, you never know when developing a customer it can turn into a big customer . DM

Same boat, but I knew it would be late coming in. Ordered the largest size of 1 micron diamond spray :). But I dont wanna wait for two months :(.

Oh, well, from what i've seen, its worth the wait.

I ordered a bottle of 21 carat 1 micron diamond spray on the 8th of Dec and paid with PayPal. I hav'nt received it or any communication. Tried to email him at custserv@handamerican.com but it bounced back as undeliverable. I'll try to call Mon.

Keith is a funny one to deal with. Leading up to my first order I had to keep after him a good bit just to get him on the phone (btw, that's the way to do business with him, forget the emails). Once I spent some money and time on the phone with him, enough to where he knows my name, I've had no issue since with a couple of orders. His product is the ish, but you gotta keep after him to get anywhere. And I don't blame any of you for not seeing this as a conceptually effective business model in 2010 America lol, not making excuses for him. That's just my .02 on the subject.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did call and talk to him probably 3 or 4 weeks before I made the order and spoke with him for probably 15 min. He said he was about to come out with some new stuff and to email him and he would put me on a list to notify me about the new stuff and also to make some suggestions for my needs. I emailed him a few times asking to be put on the list and after I didn't hear anything I just decided to pass on whatever new great thing he was talking about and order the diamond spray.

So in reality I have been waiting for more like 3 months since I first contacted him. But everything I read says what he carries is the best so I have been patient. I guess I will call him after the 4th that his website now says.

Is there another brand that is known to be just as good?

FWIW over the past 6t months or so I emailed HA twice about their products. I've yet to receive any response.

So I called and spoke with the owner (Keith?) on the 5th and I won't get into the details but he said he would send it on the 6th. I still haven't received anything and I have checked and my credit card hasn't been charged yet.

I guess I need to call him again but I was really hoping that I was going to get it and the previous delay was just a misunderstanding. I really don't want to make him look bad and was hoping I would report back here with good news but not yet.

If you have been trying to contact him I think you definitely need to call him. He did seem like he was pretty busy trying to get some new products made and ready to sell.

In every order I ever made to HandAmerican, shipment was ALWAYS delayed weeks or months. E-mails were never answered, and phone calls were met with 'Gosh, I'm sorry. I'm trying to get my website organized,' or 'I'm trying to add new products and we're a bit delayed.' In years past I've made 4-5 different orders to HandAmerican, and ALWAYS with 2-3 month delays in shipping, but never again. When you hear the same excuse over the course of several years, you have to start thinking something isn't right.

He has been in business quite a long time. The ONLY thing that keeps him in business is that he has excellent products. Top shelf all the way. His customer service is about the worst I've ever encountered in a company still in business.

His excuses are always 'I'm trying to fix the web site,' or 'I'm trying to get new products,' or 'I'm experimenting with new items.' I would think that after 15+ years in business on the net he'd have his web site figured out. It's not that difficult.

He's a very lucky fellow to be selling the best goods. Otherwise I don't think anyone would put up with his service. I happen to find his products the very best available all in one place, but I won't order from him again. I'll split my orders between several shippers, gladly paying the extra shipping charges, just to avoid the aggravation of his customer service.

Is there a place that sells diamond sprays that are as good as his? I was going to get a small bottle each of 1 and 0.5 micron.

Thanks!

I ordered Dec 28. Shipped yesterday. He overnighted or two dayed it and sent me the tracking number. I called and emailed. He responded to my email in about 5 hours. Im patient, so its all good.

In today's market, with the growth of the Internet, you can easily find many sources for items you want. Five minutes with Google gives you names, reviews, prices, people with whom to speak, etc. There is no need to put up with retailer's who don't give proper service. There is no need to be nasty to the company with poor service. Just don't call back. These days we vote with our wallets.

These days, businesses will be made or broken by customer service. There are just waaaaay too many other companies that do respond, and respond immediately, working to keep the customer satisfied.

Wether or not this new "I insist upon good service" is a good thing or not, I won't say. The fact exists that this is the new cultural norm. I do think it makes for a better marketplace for the consumer. Perhaps not for the retailer trying to run a one-man show. But that's called 'competition,' and it only helps, not hurts, the consumer. Personally, I don't mind spending a little more to get a lot more satisfaction.
