Anyone heard from Mike at WSSI?

Back in January, I sent about a dozen pairs of plum knife scales to WSSI. A few weeks ago, I called WSSI and was lucky enough to have Mike answer. He told me that my scales would be ready the following Tuesday, but I have not heard from him since. I tried calling many times, but no one answers and their answering machine is full. Emails also go without response. I have heard nothing but praise for WSSI's work, which is why I chose to send my wood to them, but I am getting antsy wondering where my wood is (it has some serious sentimental value to me as it came from my grandpa's plum tree).

So, has anyone out there heard form WSSI lately? Is this long of a wait to be expected in the future? Thanks!

Interesting to see this. I have a batch of wood that I have wanted to send to Mike to for a while now but have been unable to get a hold of him (mailbox full). He is my first choice, but am quite leery
of sending the wood off without first having some contact with him. Are there any other stabilizers that you guys would recommend?

Thanks,
Geoff Rutledge

This came up a couple years ago on the forum. Good work, inconsistent timelines/customer support. Personal problems maybe?

I've sent my last two batches to K&G and had excellent results, excellent service, and quick turn around. Each time it was 10-14 days back to me from the day I shipped them out to them.

Good to know! I'll for sure try K&G in the future. Now if only I had my wood back...

He's not fast.......but the finished product is as good as it gets. Be patient, I'm sure he won't stiff you. Took me 4 months or so to get my wood back from him.
