Take the question for what its worth, but anyone here ever notice that a fair amount of good fortune comes their way whenever they're edc'ing a particular knife? I try my best not to be superstitious, but my Caly-3 (SE) seems to consistently pull through as both a knife and good luck charm. For example a few weeks after purchasing it, I was hired into a better paying job.

It was with me when I met and mustered up the nerve to ask out my ex gf, and just recently I had it on me while having dinner with a buddy, only to have the waitress give me her phone number. I have a fairly large collection that I rotate around and stuff like this never seems to happen to me, but when it does I've noticed after the fact that the wire clip was there bearing silent witness to my little triumphs :o

So, do any of you carry knives for reasons beyond their cutting ability? :p

I've a Queen slimline trapper that qualifies. Granted, its start was rough- it was in my pocket when my grandfather died. It was also in my pocket when I met my wife, when we were married, when I got the letter of acceptance to medical school and when I was raised as a Master Mason.

Good enough. :)

My Fallkniven U2 was with me when I got a windfall in the mail :D
That was enough to convince me that I found my lucky knife:cool:

I don't believe in luck on principle, but in the spirit of the thread, my Hinderer XM-18 always seems to be there when I'm happy:D.

Dunno about luck, but I just have a better feeling about things when I've got my dad's old Remington RH-50 from his old boy scout kit with me. It's been through hell and back, and looks the part, but...it sure feels good to have around. Not to mention it's a great knife - it's got a nice full belly, holds a good edge, and can be used for everything from skinning deer to filleting a flounder.

I think that this one has brought me luck on the golf course....
