anyone into carhartt ?

I have two pair of bibs and they have lasted over 4 harsh winters love the stuff

I can't count the amount of stuff my family owns.

Two pair of insulated bibs myself. Can't stand overalls, but the bibs work great.

I quite often throw on the bibs instead of grabbing a jacket or coat.

If you have a Tractor Supply Company that are constantly having seasonal sales that allow you to get a much better price. My second set of bibs cost around $55 out the door.

You do take a gamble on the sizing since the size you need may be sold out, so if you have to have something like the FIRST set of bibs it may be best to pay the retail. Still a good deal.

No kidding, out of all the of deer I have shot so far, none have complained that I was in brown duck Carhartts instead of camo bibbs.:D

My only complaint is that they soak up water like a sponge and take a long time to dry.... walk through some wet brush in the morning and you'll be wet all day. A pair of wet carhartt bibs must weigh 10 lbs!

Great place to buy discounted carhartts is sierratradingpost.com, they always have a good supply.

Indeed Sierra Trading Post is a good source. Heck, good for all types of outdoor stuff! But keep in mind that some of them are "seconds". Which they state are only cosmetic blemishes or imperfections that no way affect the function of the garment. No problems there for me. Just letting those who are anal know about owning "seconds" or "irregulars". Besides, they will cheerfully exchange or refund, no problem. Oh, yeah Carhartts are real good stuff. I' ve been wearing a few of their jackets for years now. And they are comfy and hold up very well. In fact, I just treated myself for X- mas- picked up a blanket lined duck chore jacket from a nearby Marshalls store for $29.99! First quality and made in the USA.

Was an exclusive Ben Davis, sometime occassional Dickies guy, with Ben Davis giving the best bang on the buck. However since I bought my first Carhartt gear last year, they are ten fold in quality, and since, I haven't looked back.
