I have a Kershaw Junkyard Dog - partial serrated. I screwed it up trying to sharpen it. It's a $35. knife so it isn't worth shipping costs and sharpening costs.
So, does anyone know a good knife sharpener in the Smyrya or Atlanta. Ga. that I can stop by and have them straighten out my mess?
Thanks

I don't know a professional sharpener around here in ATL, but I know a serrated blade only has the serrations sharpened on one side. If you sharpen the FLAT side of the blade, carefully maintaining a good cutting angle, your serrations ought to come up sharp again.

If you sharpened the little individual indentations and lost the factory angle you may need to restore them using a needle file or tiny steel. I've done it before but it is for love not money because it is labor intensive. Whenever you sharpen a serrated edge in the future, work on the flat side.

You might just want to chalk it up to bitter experience and thank yourself it was not an expensive blade or experiment on that knife using the ideas I put forth above. HTH :)

i'm in ohio and i dont charge much to sharpen a knife. can you post picks of how bad the edge is?
