American made Schrade NIB Silhouette lockback? I just got one from ebay for my son for 10 bucks, and I don't know a thing about it, it is gun-metal gray and looks to be a nice knife.
not exactly...the blade appears to be lighter in color, and there seems to be these "raylike" engravements on the handle. I will let you know more when I have the knife in hand though.
Schrade's silhouette line of knives offer dynamic styles, precision engineering, and maximum performance. "Silhouette" folding knives feature tempered aircraft grade 4" aluminum handles, textured with a triple ARC design, and shaped for comfortable use. A star shaped blade lifter allows easy one hand opening of the super sharp 2 7/8" stainless blade. The Schrade "Silhouette" redefines high tech & high performance. Only from Schrade. Made in the USA!
Dale is correct on the ID for the Gray/Silver handled version. There were Black (421), Red (423) and Blue (424) versions as well, according to the May 2004 website. Maybe it looked like this?
Oh, I believe it is a liner lock, rather than a lockback.
That is the knife...I hope to get it today or tomorrow...I received my avatar AV-7 yesterday...and was very happy. I hope to post a review of both knives on here in a couple days...although I am kind of a newbie, I will try to give some honest opinions of them here for all the Schrade fans.
