Anyone know what happened to the supply of tek-loks?

Hi All,
Are Tek-Loks being discontinued or did someone (a large manufacturer perhaps?) buy them all up? I tried Texas Knife Maker's Supply, Sheffields, and Knifekits, and they are all out. Texas says they have discontinued both the large and small sizes. Sheffield says they have to buy them 500 at a time from now on, and they will be $19.95 each! Blade-tech shows the small ones for $10.95. That's alot more than I remember. Anyone know what's up and who has a supply in stock and at a decent price?

Not trying to keep secrets. I just know of a place that has them and didn't want to give anyone advertising. I don't know all the rules and don't want to break any without meaning to.

It appears knifekits.com still has the small ones in stock. Maybe i'm wrong! But you can enter in an amount which on the large page it just says sold out :D

Oops, I should have been clearer- you're right, they don't show up as out-of-stock on the website, but when your box arrives, you'll have your other supplies and a note on the invoice that says the small tek-locs are backordered.

That's exactly what happened to me too.

So who's hoggin all the tek-loks?
 
Lets see, the usual suspects, hmnnn...

Have you tried Koster, Krein, Harner, let's see, who else uses the things almost exclusively. I'd check with Koster but he's probably got all his dog-earred for another mid-tech run of this, that, or the other. ;)
