I didn't use to like B&R watches. I'm starting to really dig them now, especially the chronos. As a bonus, they're supposed to be some of the best built most dependable movements out there.

It's the only B&R I have... which I've had for a couple of years now. I'm very happy with it. It also happens to be the thinnest watch I own :o, but yes very well built and accurate.

No complaint from me... would be nice to see and post pic's of dive knives in the dive and doxa forums.
Dive knives on the DWF would be nice to see. Although the pics that deepcdvr posts from his 'Job' are pretty cool .

Yes, it does seem silly. Wouldn't want to offend the sheeple.

5 Images in posts and signatures containing weapons of any kind (including, but not limited to, guns and knives) are not allowed. There is an exception for pictures of a documentary nature which illustrate the actual use of watches, and which are in keeping with the general theme of the forum in which they are posted. Staged or gratuitous pictures containing weapons, however, are prohibited without exception.

Also religion and politics are off limits. I've seen some pretty knock down drag out threads about WATCHES . I guess it's more about keeping the peace than anything else. And since I can do all that here it's all good ;).

I own a Steinhart-Debaufre (This was before they were just called Debaufre.) Special Green Ocean one. I am wearing it as I type this.

I ordered and paid for one of these today "Edifice EF-305T-8A Titanium". Needed something light and durable. 100m etc but no bells and whistles that I specifically didn't want. Anyone else have one of these to comment on?

I had a Casio G-Shock on through basic, ait, and jump school (even though in '86 watches were not allowed) - I got caught and had to do the number of push ups in military time 1400 or so  every time a black hat yelled 'time-keeper'

My son is collecting them (casio's) now, they're a lot bigger than my 20 yo g-shock.

My mechanicals / more expensive watches are willed to my kids and I only purchase one every few years or so.

I prefer classic vintage watches for the most part, here are two of my favorites as they were passed down father to son.

First is my Rolex which was given as a graduation present when I matriculated from St John's Military Academy.

Second is the Omega Geneve that served my father during the Vietnam War, the Colt also accompanied him on quite a few refueling missions as a personal weapon.

I dont have any pics right now, but I like Doxas and Marathons and Citizens and Seikos... The list goes on and on. I wouldn't have thought a flare gun would be a weapon... or even really a gun, but...

On a side note, I'm not sure the last time I saw a dive gear thread on the DWF, though they come up from time to time on the Doxa forum...

I have a 1840 gold Hunter pocket watch that I keep in my Mum's safe. It has been through the wars literally and still works. In 1980 we had it serviced in London.

It went through Changii without being sold for food.

One of my missions is to obtain some stamascus and make that into a watch. Since my skills with steel are limited and watch making limited to irriparable dissembly, that it could be a long term project.

Why anyone would even use an analog wristwatch today is beyond me.
They make great collector pieces, but as far as telling time, waterproofness and durabality I cant see how any of them could compete with a good Casio G-Shock
